  1. 12-16-93                    Adjust to the Line

  3.      There  is a command to tell your modem to adjust to it's  phone  line.
  4.  
  5. You type AT\E1 and then call a 9600+ modem. You may not connect when you do
  6.  
  7. this, but the modem will make an adjustment to the line. This is a ONE-TIME
  8.  
  9. command, and should not be put into the initialization, or the dial prefix.
